What is a Qualified Domestic Relations Order “QDRO”?<\/h1>\n

During the process of divorce<\/strong> among the many issues that must be resolved is the division of retirement plans<\/strong>.\u00a0 If either party has a qualified retirement plan, like a 401k<\/strong> or a 403b<\/strong>, etc., then the account typically is divided.\u00a0 The division of a retirement account in a divorce<\/a> case\u00a0 is not always 50\/50 however.\u00a0 Whether the divorce will be settled in mediation<\/a> or by the court in a divorce trial<\/strong>, there are several factors to be considered in making such a division, and you should speak to a divorce attorney<\/strong> about this issue.<\/p>\n
